SERENITY ANNIVERSARY SCREENING

Come join your fellow Browncoats for the second Anniversary Screening of the Joss Whedon's motion-picture Serenity, hosted by the MN-Firefly organization and the Riverview Theatre!

We'll be raisin' money to benefit VOLUNTEERS ENLISTED TO ASSIST PEOPLE (VEAP). Browncoats who bring a non-perishable food item will receive a FREE GIFT! (while supplies last!)

We'll also be hosting a SERENITY COSTUME CONTEST!
This shiny event is hosted by the folks from MarsCon and will feature prizes!
Ballots will be handed out upon entering, and moviegoers have until about 30 minutes before the end of the movie to fill out their ballot. Costume-Contest entrants will have to register before the film.
Prizes: 5th place – Hoban Hanky & MN FIREFLY pen, 4th place – Hoban Hanky & MN FIREFLY pen, 3rd place – Hoban Hanky, MN FIREFLY pen & the novel, Finding Serenity, FIREFLY DVD set, 2nd place – Hoban Hanky, MN FIREFLY pen, Finding Serenity, & Serenity Visual Companion, SERENITY Collector’s Edition DVD, 1st place – Hoban Hanky, MN FIREFLY pen, Finding Serenity, ONE membership to Marscon, TWO tickets to the Marscon Masquerade Ball

Tickets will be SIX DOLLARS ($6) at the door.
First 100 people recieve a free gift!

WHY:
It's in support of VEAP, a notable, local charity group. Plus you get to see Serenity on the big screen one more time.

VOLUNTEERS ENLISTED TO ASSIST PEOPLE (VEAP) is an organization that offers financial, emotional and physical support to low-income and needy families in the community. You can read more about their mission and projects at their website at http://www.veapvolunteers.org/.

This season, VEAP is really interested in the following items, so concentration there would be a plus.
These items are in high need:
Vegetable oil
Laundry soap ( pref. 8#boxes of the powdered kind)
Diapers
Feminine Hygiene
2# bags of dried beans and rice
Grape Jelly
Dry Cereal
